Add AEO to your retainers without hiring for it. Wholesale tooling, priced flat, with the receipts your clients will ask for.
Your clients are already asking whether they show up in ChatGPT. ClarAI is the layer underneath the service you sell them: one account, a workspace per client, every answer kept verbatim, and the sample size printed on every number. Priced in dollars, no conversion, no per-client meter.
"Are we in ChatGPT?" and the answer you can defend
The question arrives in the QBR, usually from whoever pays the invoice. The answer that does not survive the follow-up is a single score with no count behind it, because an AI engine answers the same question differently on different runs, and a client who asks "how many times did you check" deserves a number.
The answer that does survive reads like this: "We ran the eight buyer prompts you approved, four times each, across four engines. ChatGPT named you in 3 of 8, Google AI Overviews in 5 of 8, Claude in 0 of 8. Here are the answers, verbatim, with the pages each one cited. The fix list ranks the two pages to change and the one listing to earn." That is an example scenario with a fictional client, and it is the shape of every ClarAI report.
Two limits we state on the report rather than hide: we measure through official engine APIs plus grounded web search, and an API answer can differ from what the client sees logged in. And the free grader measures whether a site is ready to be retrieved, not whether it is named; a grade-A site can still go unmentioned. Both caveats are printed where the number is, so you are never the one explaining them after the fact.
What wholesale means here, gate by gate
Read from the billing rules as they ship, 9 September 2026. If a row says roadmap, it is not built.
| Gate | Pro, $99 a month | Agency, $299 a month |
|---|---|---|
| Brand projects | Unlimited. A prospect analysis to win a pitch displaces no paying client. | Unlimited. Agency adds no brands; Pro is already unlimited. |
| Team seats | Up to 3, enforced on the invite. | Up to 10, enforced on the invite. |
| Monthly fair-use ceiling | 150 analyses, 200 simulations. Resets on the 1st. | 500 analyses, 500 simulations. Resets on the 1st. |
| Analysis depth | On-demand runs and the full per-engine, competitor and opportunity detail. | The same. |
| Client workspaces | Your own workspace only. | A workspace per client, kept separate and access-checked on every query. |
| Org rollup dashboard | Not included. | Every client's score, trend and biggest mover on one screen, from the same stored runs the client PDF reads. |
| Approval routing | Basic approvals. | Per-client routing rules with named reviewers and deadlines. |
| White-label PDF export | Not included. Chart PNG export is. | Shipped. Your agency name in the footer, the client's brand color as the accent, ClarAI's name nowhere on it. |
| API and MCP | Scoped API keys plus an opt-in MCP server. | The same. |
| Tracked products (AI Shopping) | Up to 25. | Up to 25. |
| Roadmap, not shipped | Your logo on the PDF, client portal links, scheduled delivery of the branded report. | The same three. Design partners get first say on the order. |
The report your client sees
What is on every page of it
- The sample size. "Named in 3 of 8 runs", "4 of 72 prompts measured". A prompt that was not measured is shown as unmeasured, never as absent, so the coverage badge is honest about how much of the prompt set the number rests on.
- The raw answers. Every measured answer kept verbatim with its citations, so the client can read what the engine said instead of trusting a summary of it.
- The per-engine breakdown. Mention rate per engine on the client's own prompts, trended run over run, with a variance band once three runs exist so a small move reads as a tie rather than a win.
- The fix list. The pages to change and the mentions to earn, ranked, with a drafted deliverable behind each one. Drafts are included in the plan under a monthly fair-use cap (100 a month on Pro, 300 on Agency).
How it leaves the building
- PDF export, on Agency. A client-ready PDF of a project's real visibility data, your agency name in the footer, the client's extracted brand color as the accent. A manual pull today; scheduled delivery is roadmap.
- Chart PNG export, on Pro and Agency. Any chart as a clean PNG for your own deck template.
- A shareable grade. The free grader's result has its own public URL, so a prospect can get the readiness grade before the first meeting.
- The product, live. Everything above is shown on the features page with labeled example data, because we do not have customer data to show and will not fabricate any.
The agency math, with the assumptions labeled
What the service sells for is the number we can be least exact about, so here is what is actually published. Digital Elevator's AEO and GEO pricing guide (last updated 23 July 2026) puts an entry "monitor and maintain" program at $1,000 to $2,500 a month and mid-market retainers at $2,000 to $8,000. That is one agency's own published guide, not a survey; read it as a price list somebody printed. At the specialist end, Reach's done-for-you service is priced at $6,000, $10,000 and $15,000 a month by client revenue band, with a three-month minimum, on its pricing page as of 9 September 2026.
What we can be exact about is our side. Agency is $299 a month for the account with unlimited brand projects, so across ten clients the software is $29.90 a client a month and across twenty-five it is $11.96. Those two lines are $299 divided by a client count and nothing more.
Assumption, labeled as one: if you add AEO as a $1,500 a month line to ten existing retainers, the tooling behind it is about 2 percent of the line. Your delivery hours, your review hours and what you actually charge are yours; we have no customer revenue data to model them from, and we are not going to invent it. The longer version of this argument, including when a retainer beats a tool and when it does not, is in our post on AEO retainer economics.
One more honest line for the pitch deck: the US listicles that rank for "best AI visibility tools" are the surface your client will check you against. We keep our own ranked list with the disclosure up top and a "choose them if" column for every rival, so you can hand it over without editing it first.
Early agencies get the paid tier free, in exchange for honest feedback
ClarAI is pre-launch, and this is a hand-run program, not a self-serve signup. We are opening 5 to 15 agency design-partner slots (we expect to settle around 7 to 10) so a small group of operators shapes the agency cockpit before it hardens. There is a one-page agreement, and a real person from the team on the other side of every call. The terms below are the same ones on the agency page, repeated rather than reworded.
- What we ask: a 45-minute call every two weeks
- What we ask: async feedback within 5 business days when we ship something for you to try
- What we ask: candid input on client reporting, what white-label needs to mean for your workflow, and where the product gets in your way
- What you get: the paid Agency tier free for your agency during the design-partner period
- What you get: a discounted paid plan when the period ends
- What you get: first say on the build order for the agency roadmap above
- What you get: a direct line to the team that builds ClarAI, not a support queue
